On October 20, 2000 – SCAQMD (South Coast Air Quality Management District) placed more stringent restrictions on maximum allowable emissions for spark ignited emergency equipment that is over 50 brake horsepower.

 

These new restrictions are as follows:

1)      Emergency equipment includes fire pumps, emergency electrical generation and other emergency uses.
